Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Funk

They met and dated in college. Took different paths for a few years, then one day those paths crossed again and they fell madly in love all over again. 

To Milo, getting to know you has been great. You are kind, hard working and just a pleasure to be around. On top of that you make my cousin smile even brighter than she already does. Her face lights up with love every single time she looks at you, you make her so incredibly happy and for that I thank you. 

Jess, I was so honored to be able to capture your special day. Everything about it was amazing. You, my dear cousin are amazing. You have a way of walking into a room and completely changing it just by being there. Your dad is right, you bring everyone together, you're the glue that bind so many people. I am over the moon happy that you found your person and I can not wait to see what the future holds for you two.

Destination....Montana!

Laura moved to Alaska for a job she loved and ended of finding the love of her life, Devin. A year later they chose Montana to be the place where they would tie their lives together forever. The rain stopped just in time for their vows and the Montana big sky appeared, it was picture perfect. Along with friends and family, most who traveled from out of state, they celebrated the night away... thank you Laura and Devin for allowing me to capture your special day. XOXO! 

It's all about timing

Everyone told them they were perfect for each other..... and then they finally found themselves single at the same time. Turns out everyone was right. Jori and John, were brought together at just the right time and now they are getting married! Can't wait to photograph their wedding next summer! 

Amber and Arron's Bridger Bowl Wedding

The light drizzle of the rain and 45 degree temps didn't stop these two love birds to exchange their vows outside, on the top of a mountain. In fact they embraced it. It was all smiles from ear to ear, my cheeks even hurt after this wedding. There is so much love and respect between Amber and Aaron, I was over joyed by their joy and wish them nothing but complete happiness in their marriage! 

Melody and Taylor get married

I met Melody five years ago while coaching her in basketball her senior year of high school, we clicked. And over the years have grown very close, like family. So when she told me about this guy she met on the bus, I knew just from the twinkle in her eye, the sound of her voice, that he was the one. Handsome, charming, kind and man does he treat her well. When he called me a year ago and asked if I would photograph his proposal to her, I was overjoyed. A little over a year later they were married in beautiful Absarokee Montana. The weekend was filled with so much joy and happiness as their friends and family watch them become husband and wife. Mel and Taylor, I was honored to be apart of your special day and can't wait to watch your marriage grow with every new beginning in your lives. You two are truly meant to be together. XOXO! 

Shay and Zach are wed

Shaleigh and Zach. He describes her as smart, sexy, caring, a go getter and loving. She describes him as handsome, athletic, smart, hilarious and hardworking. Together they make each other laugh and their favorite dates are just being together, talking and relaxing. And when he got down on one knee on a regular Saturday night, she said yes! With tears of joy in her eyes. A year later, they were wed. The day was perfect. Surrounded with family and friends, they said their vows and danced with the rainbows. a montana engagement shoot

Tiffany contacted me a few weeks back and said her and her fiancé were coming to Montana from Florida, where they are both from, and would love to do their engagement photos while they were here. Nothing beats Big Sky country, and Paradise Valley, for a picture perfect setting. After snow fall and 42 degree temps on Monday, Tuesday evening in Livingston turned out to be simply breath taking. Especially when you're not used to seeing the mountains that close :) Thanks Tiffany and Clay for letting me capture your Montana engagement photos! xoxo

this family. so fun. definitely full of love. so glad they contacted me to take their family photos while on vacation in Montana. thanks Ross family for making the drive to West Yellowstone well, well worth it!

I love doing lifestyle photoshoots. Katie asked if I'd go with them for drive and photograph their family as they are. yes. especially when donuts are included. Sessions like these are priceless. she's from Texas, he's from Wyoming. together they came to Montana for action and fell in love, with each other and the big sky state. so when they were planning their wedding, Montana just felt like the right place to say i do. Erin and Joe, along with 50 of their closest friends and family, tied the knot in beautiful Paradise Valley Saturday. it was a picture perfect day.

Cierra and Kaleb met at team roping practice, two very talented rodeo athletes. Three years later he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said YES! On Saturday they said I Do. In between rain storms, thunder and lightening the day was filled with love, lots of love, family and friends. Cierra and Kaleb I wish you so much happiness in your marriage, thanks for allowing me to be apart of your special day!

bonnie and jared are expecting a baby boy in July, yes July! doesn't she look AMAZING! with crazy Montana summer skies, they rocked their maternity session just seconds before the down pour. but we managed to get some stunning images of this beautiful couple. i'm so excited to meet their bundle of joy next month!

last year Kenzie moved to Nebraska with her family. when her mom contacted me and told me they were coming home to Montana for a week and asked if I had time to do Kenzie's senior pictures I was super stoked! such a sweet, kind, smart young lady. Kenzie, best of luck to you as you finish your last year in high school! it was such a pleasure working with you. 

baby number three on the way

This beautiful family is welcoming baby number three in July. I had the pleasure of shooting what Sage claims to be, their last maternity session! And it was an extra special one because not only did Sage and I go to high school together, she road the bus to school with my husband, but she is also a wonderful photographer (check out Sage HERE). I took her family pics, the next morning we met up again and she took my family pics (SO PLEASED).

IRELAND

I'm not one with the words, so I'll keep this short and simple. Abundant with the photos.

Ireland. Simply beautiful. For me this was my second trip. It had been over ten years since I was lucky enough to spend a semester abroad in Northern Ireland. My heart was calling me back. I'm glad I answered. This time felt different. Probably because I have grown so much in a decade but my appreciation for the country and culture had grown as well. The history, the people, the food and yes, even the crazy weather. I soaked it all in. 

We started in Dublin. Traveled north and hit nearly every county in between. We hit the hot spots, then some that weren't on the map, these of course were the favs. There may have been a castle or two along the way. Green fields as far as you can see. Pub after pub after pub after pub. Paddy wagons and kissable stones. Guinness, whisky and wine. We found where the leprechauns live, but sadly didn't see a rainbow. Traditional music in crammed rooms. Sunshine and rainy days. 18 holes of golf and many a windy road. Sunsets and shorelines and don't forget sheep... 

All in all our ten days away from our babies was magical. Memories I will cherish for a lifetime..... until next time Ireland.

Valentine's Day. This beautiful woman wanted to do something extra special for her someone special so she contacted me about a boudoir shoot. I didn't even hesitate, even though it would be my first experience with boudoir photography. We spent a sunny Sunday morning at the SAC in Three Forks, Marinna nailed it.
